Those of you who have been following me for a while have probably seen Ava in some of my previous photos.

I've known her for a very long time. She used to come into the store where I worked, and whenever she did, we'd talk, joke around, and I'd usually find some way to make her laugh. Eventually, one day I asked if she'd be willing to model for me so I could practice photographing an actual person instead of just crowds, cars, and whatever else happened to be in front of my camera.

It turned out to be one of the best decisions I ever made.

Every time I shoot with her, it's an absolute blast. One of the things that originally made me want to photograph her was her smile, and after all this time, I still can't get enough of it. Whenever we're shooting, I'm constantly making her laugh—talking s**t, making fun of random stuff, and generally being stupid—just to get that grin out of her.

But beyond the photos and the laughs, she's an amazing young woman, and I'm deeply grateful that she's continued to trust me and allow me to photograph her over the years.

Some people just make being behind the camera that much more fun, and Ava has always been one of those people. ❤️📸

Photography, to me, isn’t about something as surface-level as simply providing a service or creating beautiful images. It’s a way of showing people how I see the world—and, more importantly, how I see them within it. I hope that one day, when someone looks at my photographs, they can see beyond what is immediately visible and recognize something deeper: the personal conflicts we carry, the complexity of our inner selves, and the ugliness and beauty that exist within us at the same time. I want my work to explore the tension between who we are inside and the reality we live in—how those two worlds collide, contradict each other, distort one another, and ultimately shape the way we experience life. For me, photography is a way of making those invisible struggles visible.

Here are some of my favorite shots from my recent photoshoot with Ava and Mackenzie! 📸

I’ve known both of these incredible ladies for a long time, and it’s always an absolute blast working with them. They each bring something completely unique in front of the camera, and that individuality always pushes me creatively as a photographer.

Ava — aka my Vampire 🧛‍♀️ — brings so much charisma to every shoot. She’s always willing to go the extra mile to get the shot, and somehow I always end up capturing that mischievous side of her. 😂 One of the things that originally made me want to photograph her was her smile, and to this day, it’s still one of my favorite things to capture.

Then there’s Mackenzie — my Gym Queen 💪👑. I’ve known her for quite a while as well, and she has an intelligence and maturity beyond her years. She’s a natural in front of the camera, and there’s something about her eyes that always comes through in her photos — this combination of strength, intelligence, and beauty that’s uniquely hers.

Also, a HUGE shoutout to Tiffany Paige for being an absolutely amazing assistant and helping everything come together! 🙌📸 And a big shoutout to Kamryn Fulton as well! She brought her own energy to the shoot, and hopefully I’ll have her photos ready to share with everyone soon. 👀🔥

Another HUGE thank you to Arsenal Tattoo for opening their doors to us and letting us use their shop as one of our photoshoot locations. Having such an awesome space to work with really helped bring the vision and atmosphere of these shots to life! 🖤🔥

And a massive thank you to Homer and his sister for letting us borrow their bikes for the shoot! 🏍️ Having those bikes available added another level to the photos and helped us create some seriously badass shots.

It really takes a team to bring a creative idea together, and I appreciate everyone who helped make this shoot happen.

Two completely different energies. Two amazing people. And one photographer behind the camera probably being an idiot trying to make them laugh. 😂

Hopefully I’ll have some behind-the-scenes footage of my stupidity to share soon. Until then, enjoy the Gym Queen and the Vampire. 🖤📸

Every shoot is an opportunity to learn and improve. 📸

During this session, I learned how certain types of makeup can catch and reflect light differently on camera. It became more noticeable during post-processing, which gave me the opportunity to work on my color correction and create a more natural, balanced final image.

I’m pleased with how the results turned out. There’s always room to grow, especially when it comes to editing, but each experience helps me sharpen my skills and become more intentional with my work.

Progress comes one shoot at a time.

Here at Snapshot Bittersweet Photography, we love supporting local businesses, charities, and the amazing people in our community.

Recently, we had an awesome opportunity to work with Chad McGill, owner of Independent Pimpin Inc. , on a photo shoot promoting the Blazing Saddle Run!

The ride is happening this weekend out of Wheel's Tavern, located at 2004 Hwy 21 W, Bryan, TX 77803. And after the ride, there’ll be a bike wash featuring all of these lovely ladies! 🏍️🧼🔥

So, if you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, come on out! Get your bike washed, enjoy a great ride, meet some good people, grab a b**r, and support a great local cause.

I’ve got two photo shoots coming up, which means it’s finally time to drop a little money on some lighting gear. Maybe one day I’ll be famous enough that Godox will just send me gear to test for free. 😂

Until then, I’m really excited to dive deeper into flash photography and learn more about creative lighting. These upcoming shoots should be a lot of fun—and a little different from what I normally do. The photos are going to be a bit more risqué than my usual work, so I’m excited to see how they turn out.

One of my friends asked me to photograph her sponsored motorcycle, backed by Supergear Performance, a company known for high-performance motorcycle parts, along with the local Central Texas shop that built the bike, Tuff Dollar Dyno.

The shoot turned out better than I expected, even though I'm always my own toughest critic. Every session is another opportunity to learn, improve, and push my photography to the next level.

I'm hoping this is just the beginning. I'd love to do more motorcycle and performance parts shoots, and maybe one day it will lead to a sponsorship of my own. Until then, I'll keep creating, improving, and chasing every opportunity. Fingers crossed!

I know many of you have seen me talk about my good friend Ava here, who is an amazing young woman and an awesome person. I just felt like saying that that Today As I go through old photo

One of the things that drew me to asking her to model for me was her amazing smile and weird, quirky personality. It’s always a fun time on shoots with her, and it’s always a fun time talking with her — never a dull moment. I try every chance I get to make her smile because she truly lights up a room.
