Almost any photo can become something truly special.

When it comes to my Legacy Portraits, you don't need the "perfect" picture to create beautiful artwork. Even older photos, snapshots from your phone, or images with less than perfect quality can often be transformed into a beautiful portrait.

Take a look at this example, I think the transformation turned out beautifully! I'd love to hear what you think.

If you've been wondering whether one of your favorite photos could work, there's a good chance it can.

Some photos deserve to become more than just pictures on a phone.
Legacy Portraits are created to turn a favorite image of your pet or loved one into a piece of art that feels timeless, personal, and worthy of being displayed.
I’ve just added a new style: Golden Age Oil Portrait—a rich, classic look inspired by traditional gallery paintings.
You can also choose from the other available Legacy Portrait styles, depending on whether you want something soft, dramatic, modern, or more traditional.
The examples in this post all started with ordinary photographs. The finished portraits were created to preserve the personality, emotion, and memory behind each one.
No new photo session is required. Old photos are welcome.
Take a look through the examples and let me know which style speaks to you most.

Perhaps my favorite thing about these Legacy Portraits is that you don't need a new photo session. Of course we can do one, but that treasured photo on your phone can become a timeless piece of art.

Here are the original, watercolor, pencil and oil versions.

I'd love to know which style you like more, the original photograph, or one of the Legacy Portrait?

If you have an old photo of a pet and want a custom Legacy Portrait, I'd be honored to create something you'll be proud to display for years to come.

Go to the site, choose your style, order it, and you will receive instructions to upload your favorite picture!

🐾 Introducing Legacy Portraits from Coldnose Photography! 🐾

I'm excited to share a brand new way to celebrate the pets who mean so much to us.

Legacy Portraits transform your favorite photograph into a beautiful piece of fine art, creating a lasting tribute to the companions who leave paw prints on our hearts.

The best part? You don't need a new photo session. If you already have a favorite image of your pet, that's all we need to get started!

I'd love for you to take a look and let me know what you think. This is something I've been working on for a while, and I'm thrilled to finally share it with everyone.

Dear Friends,

Thank you so much for stopping by the Coldnose Photography booth at the 2026 Dog Bowl! We truly appreciate everyone who took the time to visit us, chat with us, and share stories about your amazing dogs.

Even with the cold temperatures and rainy weather, the event was filled with great people, happy pups, and a wonderful sense of community. We were grateful to see so many smiling faces braving the weather with us throughout the day.

Your support means a great deal to our small business, and we hope you enjoyed your time at the event as much as we did. We loved meeting both new and familiar faces, and we look forward to seeing you ~ and your dogs ~ again next year!

If you are interested in pet, family, or specialty portraits, please feel free to contact us anytime. We would love the opportunity to work with you again.

Until then, thank you so much for supporting Coldnose Photography!

See you soon!

Well....
This is the picture I meant to post yesterday. Let me know what you think!

A fresh, one of a kind way to capture what we love most about our pets, the little details that make them THEM. From soulful eyes to those irresistible noses, Peepers & Boops sessions turn these features into striking, personalized artwork.
