If you're new to my page, welcome!
Let me introduce myself. My name is Kayla, owner and photographer of Haupfear Photography. Born and raised in SC, I've had a camera in my face since birth. My mom ALWAYS had a roll of film, dressed me up in the cutest of outfits to the most embarrassing(see photo below 🙈) – it was like having our own JCPenney studio at home.
I picked up a camera around the age of 7 and was the one in school who always brought a camera to capture every moment. Fast forward to my 21st birthday, I got my first digital camera (still have it!) and took it everywhere.
I joined an online page called Fotothing (before fb existed), where my photography started to develop beyond just photos of friends and family.
Skipping ahead, year 2020 marked the creation of Haupfear Photography after my job closed due to COVID. With my girls home from school, we spent 7 weeks driving around to historic places, researching their history online and sharing on fb afterward. I put over 20k miles on my car that year.
Now, it's end of May 2026, and I've quit my full-time job in the dental field of 16yrs total to take a huge leap of faith and give my heart and soul to my joy and passion for photography ❤️
I'm not just a photographer who takes photos; my whole heart is in it, and I hope it shows. I believe word of mouth is the best way to advertise and grow my business, so please refer me to anyone who needs memories captured from a photographer that has had a passion for it since childhood.
