a summer of change☀️

I absolutely loved taking these spur-of-the-moment maternity photos at a splash pad with Paul and Gadea! It was so hot in Atlanta this summer and this was the perfect way to cool down while also creating amazing art!

We took photos for less than 5 minutes but we saw the vision! It was so magical!

🩵🩷 face card 🧡💚

This is a concept that I’ve had in my head for over a year — a totally faceless mannequin group shoot!

I hand-edited everything in Photoshop using the heal and erase tools as well as painted in all the shadows and highlights to give depth to the faceless characters.

Everyone absolutely SLAYED as their own mannequin! There were so many giggles during this shoot. Everyone wore pantyhose over their heads to give the faceless look, so expect some silly behind the scenes soon! This was so fun!

from the shadows…

Chia chose Concept Four in my Spooky Photoshoot Roulette — a dark silhouetted cryptid. I made the antlers, eye light rig, and tail by hand. Everything you see in this is practical. I enhanced the eye shine in Adobe Lightroom with the radial gradient tool and edited everything from scratch.

This was inspired by Oswaldo Cepeda and his recent glowing eyes photoshoot, as well as some of his previous incredible works. He’s one of my favorite creatives, I’m always learning from his setups and feel so inspired to try new things!

I can’t wait to bring the rest of the series to life! This season is gonna be a blast!

Behind the scenes of our “The Machine Returns” vignette!

We filmed the entire thing in less than 5 hours, including all the setup, SFX makeup, and puppeteering. It’s always a blast working with Brian — this is my favorite short film I’ve ever made!

The video took about a week and a half to edit. Adding digital sparks, lighting changes, sound effects and foley, it was worth the time to make it perfect. I’ve been editing videos for over 15 years, no Ai here!

The uncanny valley makeup is a look I’ve been wanting to do for a while and I asked Julie if she’d be my model for this hilariously spooky shoot. The way we were both screaming and laughing was the best! It’s so effective and with her sclera lenses, the whole thing came together perfectly!
