Explore the Space Power Facility (SPF) at NASA Plum Brook Station in Sandusky, Ohio! Engineers test spacecraft hardware here in conditions similar to those during launch and in space.

We are standing in the world's largest vacuum chamber! It takes 8 hours to remove all of the air, and allows simulation of the extreme cold of space at the same time as the extreme heat of sunlight. This chamber also appeared in opening scenes of Marvel's 2012 film, "The Avengers".

We toured NASA's Plum Brook Station this weekend...now you can tour it in 360 degrees on Facebook!

This is the Spacecraft Propulsion Research Facility (B-2), which is used to simulate the conditions of Earth's upper atmosphere in order to test-fire the upper stages of actual rocket engines from the ground, avoiding much more expensive launch failures.

Wall Drug is a huge tourist attraction just a short drive outside Badlands National Park on Interstate 90 in South Dakota. There are billboards hundreds of miles away advertising their 5¢ coffee and free ice water!

This is an 800 Megapixel image of Panorama Point in Badlands National Park in South Dakota this past July when Becky & I went on a 5000 mile road trip from Cleveland across 11 states.

The image is hosted on Gigapan, which allows anyone to smoothly zoom in or out and really enjoy the detail!
