i did not intend for this caption to turn into an oscar acceptance speech, but here we are…

where do i even begin with this project?
what started as a simple idea—a conversation about jewelry on dogs—quickly grew into something much bigger.

i poured a lot of heart into this one. there were more than a few moments where i wondered if i could even pull it off. it has truly been a lesson in patience, change, collaboration, and the rather strange places creativity can take you.

i cannot thank blank park zoo enough for their willingness—and genuine enthusiasm—to help bring this vision to life. and a huge thank you to dsm magazine for believing in this project from the beginning, even when i was deep in the weeds, and for sharing my excitement every step of the way.

endless thanks to annabel, michael, hailey, and everyone at dsm magazine; anne, alex, and the team at blank park zoo; ashley, anna, shana, megan, charlie, chelsea, vanessa, justine, sena, denny, josh, kat, nicole, thomas, bobbi, george and mary jo, adam and his wonderful family, all of the incredibly talented designers below, each and every animal, and my mom and dad.

for helping on set, believing in the project, bringing your animals into the studio, talking through ideas over and over (and over), doing test shoots, taking walks with me, and sitting in the car while i spiraled. thank you for lending your time, your talents, your encouragement, your babies, and your trust.

this project exists because so many people said “yes” to a wild idea and helped carry it further than i ever could have on my own.
