This is gonna seem like a post where something went wrong but nothing did! So it's the perfect time to make it!
Here's just a few bits of info to help make sure we're the right fit for each other & manage expectations!
🤎There are times when I'm a little loosey goosey with how long a session goes, like where someone paid for 20 minutes but we go for 32. When I do that, it basically means I have free childcare. 😜 There will be plenty of times when it isn't free for me at home and therefore I have to be pretty strict. Not my preference but I pay a considerable of overhead on babysitting.
🤎It's rained A LOT. If I reschedule for rain, I do so typically the day of the shoot (unless we have remnants of a hurricane hitting us). Weather changes so frequently that I try to be VERY sure that it'll impact our session before I reschedule. Rescheduling can be a nightmare for clients because I'm often very, very booked.
🤎I charge a $50 rescheduling fee for clients rescheduling except for reasons outlined in my contract. Even with that fee, I'm still liking losing hundreds. 😕 So it's not to be mean. It's to offset my losses. And rescheduling has to happen within a certain time period outlined in my contract.
🤎I only send lightly-edited, watermark-intact photos in the soft gallery.
🤎I only use public property or private property with permission. I also only access public property during their hours and will not hop a gate.
🤎The way I'll edit future photos is consistent with how I've edited past photos. My style is fixed.
🤎I'm open to more complex edits but it's best to let me know what you have in mind before booking. Sometimes I just simply don't have the skill! I'll never make someone look thinner but I can certainly help with acne, for example!
🤎Last year I thought I'd do weddings this year but with my family life I simply can't give brides the commitment & assurance they deserve.
🤎If a photographer poaches on my page, I delete the comment. I'm happy to provide referrals if I don't provide what someone's looking for (breastfeeding sessions, bo***ir, weddings, studio cake smashes, etc.) but please don't market yourself on my page. I absolutely appreciate the kind comments from other photographers, though. 😘
🤎When I have back-to-back minis, it's imperative to be timely. If a client's late, we will move lightning fast but I can't extend the session because it'll cut into someone else's. ⚡️
Yes, I've had some difficult situations but I don't think I'll ever go into specifics. I've seen some photographers get SO much engagement on dramatic posts that include really specific details, even down to naming the person on the other end. I also realize sometimes full disclosure is necessary.
But drama isn't me.
I'm all for mutual respect & clear communication.
If you haven't worked with me before, I want you to feel like you know me before putting down that non-refundable deposit, hence this post!
