I’ve seen quite a few conversations lately about AI, children’s photos, and what parents feel comfortable sharing online. As a photographer who mainly photographs children and families, I wanted share my perspective.

I completely understand why this topic makes parents uncomfortable, including myself. With how quickly AI is evolving, I respect anyone who chooses to keep their child’s face and photos off of social media.

For me, sharing my work is an important part of running my business. Whether it’s a newborn session, a first birthday, a cake smash session, milestones, or family photos, it shows future clients what they can expect from a session with me.

That being said, I will ALWAYS ask for permission before sharing your images, as I always have. If you’re not comfortable with your child’s face being posted, please know that is completely okay. You never have to explain why, and I will never make you feel pressured or uncomfortable about your decision.

I’m also more than happy to choose photos where your little one isn’t recognizable, use detail shots, or simply keep your gallery completely private.

At the end of the day, these are YOUR babies and YOUR memories. You get to decide what feels right for your family, and I will always respect that.
