Nature's Ark LLC I sell digital nature stock for art prints, website, marketing as well as native plants. You can get to Jim's new website by using this link.

Jim has always had a love of nature, he acquired this as boy when he’d follow his father, Naturalist John Mundy, through local woods and fields. He spent countless hours in local parks observing wildlife, fishing and exploring. Because his father was a Ranger and Naturalist, they often had a variety of orphaned or injured wildlife at their home giving Jim close contact with creatures few people ev

er have the opportunity to experience. Jim has taken his love for the natural world into his adult life by choosing to study wildlife in college and going on to become one of the Land Managers for a large regional park system in southwest Ohio. Jim has devoted more than 23 years, creating and restoring habitats such as wetlands, prairies and grasslands to provide for a wide variety of wildlife. He decided the best way to share these experiences was to capture their images and with today’s digital SLRS he finds it easier and more cost effective to accomplish this. Jim has traveled to many states to capture his photos from Florida to Canada in the east and to Yellowstone and most recently to Alaska to the west looking for the natural beauty the world has to offer. Jim’s main focus has been photographing birds in their habitat, but wildflowers, mammals, Insects and beautiful landscapes are also photographed when they present themselves. Jim’s main website called Nature’s ark Photography which he has built himself has thousands of other pictures you might want to check out. The web address is naturesarkphotography.com

For a wider selection of print sizes, matting colors, frame designs, canvas prints, posters and more please visit my additional website through the Fine Arts America. This site allows you see how the picture will look with your choices of frames, matting colors and even on canvas in real time. http://james-mundy.artistwebsites.com/

Jim wants to share the message of “learning to live with nature” in hopes that through his photography you will realize the importance of nature and of the creatures and their habitats in our shared world.

On 3/22/2026 I went out east of Cincinnati into Adams and Scioto Counties in Ohio looking for early wildflowers. I photographed this Crane-fly Orchid, Tipularia discolor leaf. Photographed with my Canon R5 at F13, ISO 320 at 1/1250 with my Canon EF 100 mm macro lens and my Canon twin flash.

When working with spring ephemerals and trying to grow them I'm finding it difficult and here is why. This little grub like tuber is Dwarf Larkspur. This tiny thing is the first year and most of them don't seem to have roots either. Since no one bought many I decided to look to see what one year growth looked like. After seeing what is going on in the tubes I then removed them all from the tubes and have them in moist soil until I can plant them and see if they come back. It might be If you want these species in your yard, you might have to throw seed down and hope for the best. I don't have room to keep a species like this for several years until it matures.

I will be busy the next few days or so conducting an inventory of the plants still available and then update my list on my website. Then I will be taking appointments for people to come and buy plants.
