Good morning everyone,

This is going to be a bit of a longer post so bear with me. There are currently some delays in responding to emails, phone calls, and texts regarding inquiries.

I am currently helping in an animal abuse/neglect case. As many of you are aware I have a deep rooted love in serving others. My main area has been recuse animals. I myself have a long history in helping animals and having animals. Walking dogs, cleaning out kennels, working at a doggy daycare/boarding/training center, and more.

We had a friend pass in November of last year and the people in charge of caring for her 3 dogs did not do that and abandoned them on Sunday. Since Sunday afternoon I have been heading contacting vets, rescues, and as many people as I know to try to get these dogs into homes. I have also been caring for all 3 dogs on top of my own life schedule till we can get them into the foster placements/forever homes to help take some of the stress off the family’s plate. The house they are currently in will have the electric shut off so this is considered an emergency situation. 1 of the dogs is already out of the house and with a foster placement. A vet appointment is set for the medium dog for tomorrow and once she is all cleaned up and in a better condition she will also be headed to a foster placement. There is a German shepherd mix that is still looking for a foster/forever home and I have been non-stop calling anyone and everyone I can to try to get her out of that house before the electric is shut off.

I will be responding to everyone as soon as possible and I highly appreciate everyone who has backed this business as it helps me be able to do things like this.

I will also be hosting Pay what you can sessions for the next 2 months! All money made from these sessions will be going to the dogs and the families that agree to foster/adopt them so if anyone is interested please make sure to reach out either via this page or the email and phone number on the page info section. I will be making a post about the pay what you can sessions a little later tonight so please keep an eye out and share this post! There will also be a go fund me as well then I will share when I have it.

The 2026 PA WEDDING & Bridal Expo was a success! We got to meet so many people yesterday from vendors to potential clients and they were all amazing.

A huge thank you to Ellie (one of my 2nd photographers) for spending the day helping me and everyone that helped and supported me over the last 2 years to be able to make this happen. Another huge thank you to everyone that helped or let me take over their houses to build and practice my set up. And of course thank you to the multiple beautiful brides that have trusted me over that last 7 years to capture their love to be able to showcase.

With that being said, my books have already started to fill up! So please make sure to get on my books while you can and there is still availability.

The 2026 Pennsylvania Bridal & Wedding Expo is officially a week away!

I did the first wave of run-throughs and prep today. Putting a vision together in your head is one thing, but seeing it come together is another. I have been working since 2024 to be a vendor at this event after attending with a friend for her wedding that fall. I had a few delays, but I am so excited for the Bridal Expo on May 31st!

Hi! My name is Katie, and I run Kathryn Rose Photography.

Ever since I can remember, I have had some sort of camera in my hand. As I got older, more and more people asked me to take photographs for them, and I started photography as a side gig. The first actual session I can remember was a 5 AM engagement session for a family friend. From there, I did graduation photos, family photos, creative shoots, and eventually weddings! I did my first paid wedding in 2019 and fell in love! While I have 10+ years in photography, the last 7 years I have worked on my preferred style and started to build my portfolio around that in all session types. I decided in 2024 to add newborn sessions to my wrap sheet as well!

I have always loved looking at old photos, but after welcoming my son in October 2025, I know even more how fast time flies. Looking back at photos can almost take you back in time for a second, and that's why I hold capturing those moments for people so close to my heart. Whether it's a big moment or a small victory... life deserves to be celebrated!

I currently offer Weddings, Couples/Engagement, Family, Newborn, Creative Shoots, High School and College Graduation, and am always open to trying something new!

This was such a beautiful wedding to be able to photograph! Seeing another friend marry the love of her life and being able to capture it is an amazing feeling. This is the second wedding that I have photographed while also being in the wedding party. (And as always, my second shooter did amazing as always!) More photos to come!

This is also the second wedding that I have had the honor of photographing at this beautiful wedding venue The Arches and again they did not disappoint. All the photos I take in this space are stunning.
