Local photographer Matt Day was honored at our annual celebration breakfast for documenting the final days at the Chillicothe Paper Mill. One of his photos, titled “The Last Roll,” was printed on the final roll of paper from the mill and presented to GCRCD Chairman Susan Gearhart.
This final roll holds more than paper, it holds the memory of the generations who kept the mill alive. Their work, their pride, and their stories will stay with us, long after the machines have gone still.
