Artistrie Co. In my past career, I designed, printed and installed ads that wrapped around city buildings.

As a wedding photographer, I like to bring that same level of expertise and precision to every print or album I make. Taking photos is one thing, but printing them and placing them perfectly in your home with that "wow" factor is what I'm known for.

Sooo as many of you know, it’s almost October which means Breast Cancer Awareness Month is upon us!

In honor of women I love and the many breast cancer clients I’ve had the privilege of working with over the years, I’m excited to share that I’ll be once again donating a bo***ir session to The BreastFest of Championssilent auction taking place NEXT weekend on Saturday, October 3rd.

If you’ve been dreaming about doing a bo***ir session with me AND want to simultaneously support a great cause, I hope you’ll consider attending their event and placing a bid! 100% of the proceeds will go directly to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation with immediate effect which is AMAZING.

The BreastFest of Champions takes place 10/3 at the Sundance Saloon in Mundelein. Tickets are $40 online or $50 at the door and these guys know how to throw a party! Live music, dancing and all sorts of fun will be had. I hope you’ll join me in helping this wonderful local Chicago organization meet their fundraising goal of $150,000!

A room full of flowers, candlelight, martinis and all of Hailey and Tyler’s favorite people. Their wedding at Sarabande felt warm, colorful and completely full of life, from a very heartfelt dinner to a very full dance floor. One of those celebrations that was simply a lot of fun to photograph. 🤍

A few months ago, I added one of the fries photos from this session to my portfolio and was surprised by how many people reached out to tell me they loved it.

Which, if I’m being honest, wasn’t the image I would have guessed people would mention.

This session had so many ingredients of a classic Chicago engagement session. We wandered through Lincoln Park, made our way to North Avenue Beach for sunset, and had some absolutely beautiful skyline views along the way.

But the photo everyone keeps bringing up is the one where they’re sharing fries at the end of the night.

The restaurant is just around the corner from their apartment and somewhere they visit all the time. We stopped in for a drink after sunset and they spent most of the time laughing, stealing fries off each other’s plate, and generally being very cute.

And the more I thought about it, the more it made sense. When I’m looking through a gallery, the photos I end up returning to over and over again are usually the ones that tell me something about the couple themselves. Not just where they were, but WHO they are.

A favorite neighborhood. A restaurant around the corner. The way they look at each other when they forget the camera is there.

The skyline photos from this session are beautiful. But those little moments at the end of the evening feel so unique to them and I think that’s why they continue to stand out to me (and I guess you guys too!). 🤍

My 2026 wedding season quietly began late March at the historic and always beautiful .

Classic Chicago, candlelight, moody interiors, a room full of people who love them and a dance floor that stayed full all night long.

A few favorites from Courtney & Sam’s day. ✨

I think the weddings that stay with me most are rarely the ones where everything unfolded perfectly.

Timelines exist on pieces of paper, but so much of what makes a wedding meaningful happens in the moments that could never be scripted into one. The pauses. The emotion that catches people off guard. The in-between moments where everyone forgets about the schedule for a second and simply lets themselves be there.

I’m always drawn to the weddings where people allow themselves to be fully present in the day and with the people around them instead of getting too caught up in trying to make everything perfect.

There was something about this entire wedding that felt especially heartfelt from beginning to end, and I feel so incredibly honored to have documented it. Congrats to you H&T. 💕
