Sampson - my miracle boy is nearing 15.5 yo - he might be older - I am not sure and we are officially entering 15 years together. Never have I ever imagined the privilege of his company for so long. It is so hard to be calm and collected, when I know that our time together is slipping away faster than ever. He has been struggling with frequent UTIs, tummy issues, loss of muscle, and now water retention. We can hear the little crackles when he breezes sometimes. We have nurse coming weekly to check on him. If I have been short or solemn or irritable lately - I don't intend to. I think the grief is spilling out. I will be taking best care of my boy and cherish every precious moment left. This baby has taught me so much and I am very grateful for him.
