At UDC Nationals I met Helia of Protea Kennel and she introduced me to the world of true ringside photography. A month later Helia invited me to a show in Bloomington where she was showing her mini bulls. This was a really cool experience. I got to learn the ins and outs of show dog photography, how to stack different breeds, how to best photograph dogs from outside the ring, and what people showing are looking for from photographers. I still have so much to learn and practice but am grateful for meeting so many great people that are willing to help me learn. Getting to meet Patti, Guy, and D**k was just icing on the cake.

At UDC Nationals I also met Jill and her doberman Tyler. You can tell pretty quickly when a dog and handler have a good relationship and every time I took a pic of these two they both were having fun. Thank you for letting me photograph your sweet boy Jill Graves

At UDC Nationals in April I got to meet Helia of Protea Kennel and I am so grateful for that moment as she has really helped me break into the show dog world. Hope to continue to photograph shows either ringside or maybe one day win photos (totally not ready for that yet) and get better at this type of photography. As you already know, thank you Helia for help in everything.
