Last weekend, volunteers from the Electric Car Shop helped put on the Illinois Terminal Photo Shoot, bringing together a great selection of the museum’s Illinois Terminal equipment for an evening of period-appropriate photography.
The photo shoot featured Class B 1565, IT 277, 518, and 234 making up the orange train, along with IT 101, IT 415, and IT Line Car 1702. The Diesel Department also joined in by bringing out IT-painted GP7 1605, adding another great piece of Illinois Terminal history to the lineup.
With such a wide variety of Illinois Terminal equipment together in one place, it was a great opportunity to capture some unique photos and recreate scenes from the railroad’s past.
A huge thank you to everyone who came out for the event and to all of the volunteers who helped make this fantastic evening possible!
