It’s always an honor to photograph your families, and even more so to be invited to witness practices that have special meaning to you.

LeShonne and her family braved the beginning of the heatwave with me last month, on National Camera Day, to gather in their neighborhood of Humboldt Park. We began their session with a limpia, performed by the matriarch, to reset and cleanse the soul. What a beautiful moment to be a part of, thank you so much for allowing me in 💜

Luis and Hannah are married (again)!!

These two planned the ultimate joint bachelor/bachelorette in the spring: a murder-mystery game with the most epic plot twist - a surprise wedding!

Watching the shock and joy on the faces of their loved ones and feeling the overflowing energy of the room moved me to tears, but I don't think I've ever cheesed so hard.

Hannah and Luis, thank you so much for bringing me into the fold for one very special day!

This is your sign to book your wedding portraits on a separate day!
Maybe you eloped (in the traditional meaning of the word). Maybe you want to be fully present with your people on your big day and not worry about portrait time. Or maybe you just want an excuse to wear your (likely) expensive outfits one more time! Whatever your reasoning, I'm here for it.

What a privilege it was to photograph Mariah and Ben’s wedding reception one month ago today!

Neither of these faces are new to my feed; I photographed their civil ceremony back in December. The truth is we go back further than that. Mariah is my long-time dance photo client, turned friend, turned wedding client! It’s days like these where I truly have to stop, pinch myself, and say, “Man, I love my job” 😍

Many thanks to the Mariah and Ben’s vendors, who really brought the whole day together! And a BIG shout-out to Mariah’s physical therapist and swing instructor for working with the couple to adapt their first dance after Mariah suffered a partially torn meniscus!
