Every October my house turns into a little holiday workshop, and every October someone asks if I’m really already decorating…

Yes. On purpose 😉😅

Your holiday photos need to be ready before your shoppers start looking, so you have time to thoughtfully put them to work (not find yourself scrambling to photograph, edit, upload and market everything in December).

If you still need holiday imagery this year, I have room for one final collection before the garland retires from photoshoot duty and goes back to simply making my house festive. And if your next launch is evergreen or spring, now is the perfect time to start dreaming up the story.

A little client celebration for the queen of spooky season herself 🕯️🖤🕷️

Everyone meet Hannah, the brand strategist, website designer, creative powerhouse, and Halloween enthusiast behind EQBM.

When we planned this year’s session, we weren’t simply creating a collection of pretty headshots. We were building a whole visual world that felt like her: moody, artful, strategic, a little mysterious and filled with all of the tiny details that make EQBM unmistakably EQBM.

And one of my very favorite parts of this project has been watching Hannah take those photographs and turn them into something even bigger.

They’ve become part of her website, her offers, her marketing, and the experience she’s creating for the visionary founders who come to her with a million ideas they haven’t quite figured out how to translate yet.

She currently has just one branding + website client spot left for the year, beginning in November, along with openings for her Brand Momentum Days: focused graphic design days for finally getting those lingering graphics, website updates and campaign pieces out of your head and into the world.

Which means that if you’re dreaming about fresh photos for the new year, but are already wondering what you’ll actually do with them afterward…we may have just created your dream team 😉🤍

This one stuck with me the whole drive home 🥹🙃

I’ve defffinitely been the awkward one in front of the camera, so “me too” felt like the kind thing to say. But I realized feeling understood and feeling guided aren’t the same thing.

Ope! And in this case, she needed the second one 😅

So because we’re always learning and growing around here, I’m changing how I prepare for every session. More prompts, more examples, and a reason behind every shot. So that you feel excited, prepared, empowered, and encouraged every step of the way!

September was the month I stopped waiting to feel completely ready and started showing up anyway 🥹

I posted consistently, made some big decisions, rebuilt pieces of my business that had been sitting on my list forever, found my way back to a few hobbies I love, and, somewhere in the middle of it all, booked a dream mail-in product shoot from Instagram!!!

Not every day felt wildly productive or exciting. A lot of it looked like tiny steps, uncomfortable firsts, and doing the thing before I felt totally confident in it.

But looking back, there was so much quiet movement happening.

When you’re in the middle of building something, it’s easy to feel like you’re not doing enough. Then you gather all the little moments together and realize…oh wow, I really was building something 🤍

Here’s to baby steps, imperfect consistency, and a whole lot of becoming.
