I photographed this very intimate wedding a few weeks ago, and luckily, the weather was perfect. The bride and groom had great friends who came to the beach early to literally dig a path through the piles up sand as a result of the Nor’easter which had passed through about a week earlier. Luckily for this couple, they live minutes from the beach, so this location will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

Free photos with First State Santa. Saturday, November 14, on the beach off of the boardwalk at Wilmington Ave in from 10-1. There’s no registration or sign up so just show up. This is family, kid, and definitely dog friendly. Hope to see you there.

Fun with Silhouettes!

Amongst my many “favorites” in photography are silhouettes. Silhouettes offer a unique perspective into how we see, people, in this case. While technically, these photos are considered flat, and have much less, almost no detail, they have always been amazing to me.

One of my favorite things to do during most any session, is to either get as low as I can get, put the color in the sky behind my subject, adn expose for the color in the sky.

Try it, you might be surprised just how easy this is to do.

Pro tip, put your subject higher than you, on a ridge, or whatever you have in your surroundings.

This engagement session a few weeks ago was so much fun! We met at a park local to the couple which had a lot of sentimental value to them. My favorite spot was the wood Gazebo. I brought extra lights to light up the inside which I feel brought it to life much more than it would have otherwise. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding next year!!

And I am reminded today that a few of those are slipping away as summer is officially over😑.

Warm days with beautiful sunsets, relaxing beaches, wonderful people, and a few dogs sprinkled in are being replaced moving into wedding season...

This was such a fun proposal. She was completely caught off-guard.

This couple from NYC have been coming to the Delaware beaches for quite a while, and it’s one of their favorite places to visit. So a stroll on the beach is just another day. When he pulled out the ring and dropped down to one knee, that all changed. Just another day turned into forever for this amazing couple!
