Our Out of the Great Smoky Mountains attendee, Margaret Todd, took this impressionistic and ethereal view of Tremont in the Smoky Mountains. Margaret took this image with a Lensbaby Velvet 56mm to create the glow and softness. Beautiful, Margaret! We are so happy you joined us for the conference!

Our friend Fritz Rumpf took this breathtaking photo of a lioness in Namibia. Normally an arid place, Namibia experienced a long rainy season this year, which stimulated the growth of lush grasses and wildflowers. We look forward to seeing more of your images from your trip, Fritz. What a thrill to get this amazing image!

While it is spring here in the United States, it is autumn in Australia, where our friend and instructor, Karen Waller, lives. Karen has been busy photographing autumn crocus with her creative technique of using a single-exposure ICM. The results create a beautiful dance. Foggy Morning, Cades Cove, Great Smoky Mountain National Park, is a breathtaking infrared image by our attendee, Sam Gray. Sam used a full-spectrum camera with a 720mm filter to achieve this image.
