This is McWay Falls, an 80-foot-tall waterfall in Big Sur, California that flows year-round straight into the ocean.
It’s one of only EIGHT waterfalls in the entire US that empties directly into the sea!

Want to visit? Here is what you need to know:

Location: Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park (along Highway 1)
The Trail: An easy, must-do walking path with jaw-dropping views.
The Catch: You cannot go down to the beach. Getting closer is strictly illegal to protect the landscape (and for your safety!), so enjoy this view from afar!

MEET THE CAST: MATT MILES🚂

Matt couldn’t be more thrilled to return to the mountains of Breckenridge and the boards of BBT, fresh off his recent appearance as Ernest Shackleton in Ernest Shackleton Loves Me with CVRep in Palm Springs. Other recent and regional credits include the sold-out run of Amadeus (dir. Robert Falls) at Steppenwolf and performing as J.W. Milam in Trial in the Delta(Peacock), a three-time Emmy-winning production. TV: Chicago Fire, Med, and P.D. (NBC).

Beyond the Stage⭐️
Coffee Enthusiast: Matt is a dedicated coffee connoisseur - more known better with his friends as a “coffee snob” or “coffee geek” who enjoys exploring the global coffee community, from learning about international microfarms to visiting new cafes to study their design and featured roasts.

Marathon Runner: An avid long-distance runner, Matt has completed three marathons, most recently the Big Sur International Marathon in 2024. He is currently training for his next race in Europe for 2027.

Vintage Scooterist: When he isn’t acting, Matt is an active member of a Vespa Club in Chicago. He proudly rides a 1967 Vintage Vespa and frequently participates in the annual Slaughterhouse scooter rally.

Cinematographer: In addition to his acting career, Matt runs Fresh Roasted Films, a Chicago-based video production company with his Partner and Spouse Agnes.
