WHEN A CLIENT SAYS THEY’RE NOT PHOTOGENIC

As a photographer, I get this a lot! But no need to worry. Part of my job is to make sure you are having fun and are feeling like your best self! Everyone can be photogenic, I promise ☺️

Here are some things I like to do to get you to have the best experience possible:

⋒ PLAY MUSIC: I like to have some jams going to avoid any awkward silences, but also who doesn’t love to vibe to some tunes?!

⋒ SHOWER YOU IN COMPLIMENTS: believe me, I’m not just complimenting you to do it. You are all so incredibly beautiful and wonderful, I’m just simply reminding you of the badass you are!

⋒ POSES AND PROMPTS: I’ll be giving you some posing tips and prompts that will make you feel natural and comfortable, and it will look SO GOOD on camera.

⋒ ACT LIKE A CLOWN: chances are if anyone is going to feel embarrassed, it’ll be me. I love to laugh and be a goofball so you’ll catch me cracking jokes, getting in the funniest positions for those angles, and just having a good time. Your photos are meant to look back on those special moments, but also the fun experience of your session as a whole!

As this very long year is coming to a close, I just wanted to take moment to say how grateful I am for what I do. Having officially started my photography business in September, already I have met some incredible people and made spectacular connections. There’s still much more that I’m eager to learn and explore going into the new year, but I am just so happy I took the first steps. If you’ve been following since the start, you’ve probably read how I started doing photography about 8 years ago and have always wanted to start my own business. With 2020 being the year is was, I thought it was the perfect time to get started. From clients, to mentors, to other photographers constantly inspiring me, THANK YOU. HOW TO STAY IN THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT: WFH EDITION

🎄DECORATIONS: This can be a range of things from a tree and lights in your home, to a festive computer wallpaper! In my opinion, the more decorations, the better (;

☕️ HOMEMADE DRINKS: Make yourself some hot chocolate or holiday coffee and tea, lots of fun recipes to try at home. I find all of mine on Pinterest!

🕯 FESTIVE CANDLES: Burn a holiday scented candle: I’m a sucker for the sugar cookie and vanilla candles 🥰

🎶 HOLIDAY MUSIC: Play your favorite holiday tunes! There are tons of playlists on Spotify for all your holiday song needs, or you can even make your own! Check them 🤗 Don’t forget to take a break from your work to stretch, or maybe even dance it out a little!
