I went downtown last night with some ideas that really didn't pan out, and found myself by State Street. I've always loved the State Street marquis, and decided to take a photo from the north side of the El tracks. This photo will be a time capsule of sorts, marking the time where the old train station is gone and the new one is yet to be built.
I've always wanted to catch an El train in front of the iconic sign. Last night, I did. And I will again soon.

When I was a kid, I'd spend time over the summer in Pittsburgh. We never missed a chance to go to the Duquesne Incline!

I went to the Louve to try to take some landscape shots and it was a mobhouse, as expected. I spotted this young lady taking shots around around the promenade with a few other people. As the street lights turned on and the side walkway was clear, I worked up the courage to ask her for a portrait. She obliged and leaned into it in a way I didn't expect, but was able to capture; we both loved it!

On a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan, Drew asked Gabby to marry him...

I was surprised, too, when I realized the angle wasn't as planned, and some chaos ensued when I had to move quickly to try to get a better angle. A dog spotted me and bolted at me full speed resulting in a fantastic real life photo! And while it isn't what I had planned for, envisioned, or what you typically see on Instagram, I love it because it's so real. Hopefully they will too.

She said yes! And below are a few pics from that session.
