Poppy Eileen Photography Photography with a purpose. For her, I find the light.

Founded in honor of our forever 4-month old, Poppy, whose pure joy and love inspired me to preserve *all* the memories - in case all you have left one day are photos.

All three of them with a normal smile and closed toes in one photo?? A Christmas miracle!

I had SO much fun at The Lens Loft with some of my favorite families yesterday! All of the kids absolutely loved running around to the different scenes, and it always fills my heart when I get to spend time with tiny babies.
Thank you to everyone that came!

(also if anyone knows how to keep Facebook from completely changing the color/quality of a photo let me know lol. I'm new here.)

When I first bought my camera a few months ago, one of my "goal" photos was a bee on a flower. I GOT SO MANY yesterday and I could not be more excited!!

Peep the pollen on his back and the honey drops on his head.

While out of town this past weekend, we visited the Bernheim Forest Giants so I could take some family photos for one of my gal pals. Next to one of the giants, I saw two people taking pictures of each other on their phones. I silently creeped in the shadows until they were finished so I could ask if I could take some shots to send to them. And as you can tell, they were super cool and said yes.

Once I got home and I was looking through the photos, I noticed their shirts said "EVOLVE" and "GROW" and immediately knew they were doing this as some sort of poetic representation.
I messaged Mari'Yah and asked if there was a certain "vibe" I could edit into the photos to go along with the story they were trying to tell.

AND GUYS - you will never guess what she told me.

"It's a part in a story about new beginnings after death."

I, of course, told her that I'd lost my daughter recently and photography was what I've started doing in honor of her. I mean... what are the chances.

We were meant to be there at that time together, and it just solidified for me that I'm on the exact path I need to be. And as a bonus, I've gained a new friend with the best energy.
