The Last Bridge
Wayne Suggs Photography
This is a little bittersweet. I didn't realize it at the time while I was up there, but once I sat down to process this photograph, it hit me. This was the last time I would lead a group of photographers up to photograph this bridge. I've had some absolutely incredible workshops at this place. So many good times, so many laughs. There have been some absolutely incredible photographs that were taken from here.
I was so fortunate to be with really good friends on this particular evening. People that have taken many workshops with me, and are much more than just clients. I don't have this workshop again in my schedule, so it was great having them all with me. You see, I made the decision some time back to retire from Muench Workshops at the end of 2027. It's one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make. It is absolutely the greatest job, the greatest company in the world. The people I work for, my colleagues, the clients, they are all special. The places they've sent me, the incredible memories I have, it has been absolutely amazing.
I made this decision because I want to hang out with Kiki. While I'm gallivanting around the world, she's at home, and for me, there's something missing. We are gonna hook up to our little trailer and spend some time around the West, and maybe a little beyond. I'll take my own photographs, we'll enjoy our morning coffee together, and at night, she'll be right there inside the trailer asleep while Gus is asleep at my feet on the ground while I'm photographing stars.
Muench Workshops won't be able to get rid of me completely. Kiki said it would be good for me to lead a few workshops now and then. That makes me extremely happy. I still have 1 1/2 years to go. I'm gonna treasure every one.
I truly have found the job that I love, and with it, I've never worked a day in my life.
