My husband and I celebrated our third anniversary on December 16th, and I still find myself thinking about how magical our day truly was, and how much our photographs from that day mean to me. โจ
We planned the most cozy, rustic, Christmas-kissed micro weddingโฆ just us and the people who mattered most (plus our incredible vendors). It was intimate and sacred, free from the stress that often comes with bigger weddings. We had time to truly be present with our guests, and with each other. It was absolutely perfect for us.
While planning our day, I fell deeply in love with micro-weddings and elopements, and the way they create space for presence, emotion, and connection. No rush or expectations. Traditions, or the freedom to let them go, or tweak them as you see fit.
That experience changed me as a photographer. It awakened something in my heart that now feels like a calling: to preserve these small, meaningful celebrations for couples who crave something intimate and intentional.
And living so close to Shenandoah National Park feels like the most beautiful setting to tell stories like these.
If youโre dreaming of a day that feels like this too, I would be so honored to capture it. ๐ค
