I am a mom, a daughter, a sister, a friend and most importantly a creator! I am honored to be able to use the gifts the Lord has given me not only to honor Him but also to become apart of creation. A gift of a precious image for a loved in a time where you heart feels shattered is the least we can do as Phothraphers. Yesterday was my first time in business doing this for a client. I’m so grateful I was able to meet the sweet soul Ms. Geraldine Lane! She definitely knew how to tear up the dance floor with her son Robbie Lane this past June at his wedding to Melanie Lane and loved her family BIG! You will truly be missed Ms. Geraldine by so many!

As a photographer you sometimes take for granted the images taken and file them away. As the ones in the images, they sometimes get forgotten and put on a shelf. But those moments when life changes forever that’s when a captured moments become a lifetime of memories you would like to get back!

As time passes by don’t forget to slow down an take a pictures of moments shared. Unfortunately it maybe the one you cling to for years to come! Please say a special pray for Robbie and his family as they try and figure out what life looks like now!

The weight....

Have you ever taken time to gaze into the sky? I find myself being captivated and have to be careful while driving because it can take me places I don’t realize I’m going in my mind and spirit.

This evening I pulled up in the Walmart parking lot and the heaviness of the clouds and their layers of color and texture grabbed my attention. My daughter as usual wanted to hurry up and get inside and but I could hear the Lord speaking to me about the Weight of His Glory and I didn’t want to move. As I got out of the car I had to take a picture.

The stillness before the storm. You know when it gets very quiet and the wind starts to blow, the birds start singing...it’s coming, as they scurry to shelter? You might be able to tell I grew up in the country where my favorite thing to do is sit on the porch when a storm was getting ready to come to feel the calmness and wind develop around me.

The weightiness of the clouds roll in they have different shapes, sizes, textures and colors all building the layers of what creates the Storm....interesting side not my name means Storm or Noble Strength, maybe thats why it draws my attention. But what got my attention that day was how the sun was still able to pe*****te the darkness. No matter how many layers of heaviness rolled in the light was still able to break thru. Like it was bursting with confidence! I heard the Lord saying in this moment. The Weight of my glory rests upon you! No matter what heaviness surrounds us be still in His presence as His Light pe*****tes and drives the darkness away. You may feel pushed around my the mighty winds but stand firm and gaze into the Son who will never leave you.

This took me to the bridge of the song by Crystal Gayle.

You inhabit and surround us with Your grace
In supernatural, extraordinary ways
And do miracles that cannot be explained
Do what only You can do here as we praise!”

May today when life tries to overtake you, still take moments and gaze into the Son no matter how dark your situation is because the Weight of His glory still rests upon you as you praise!
