One of the last sessions I shot before my hiatus was this precious first birthday back in January. I still love these so much! I cant believe how fast time has flown.

Capturing every season… Even the scary, uncertain ones.

Emily is in the midst of breast cancer treatment and while it’s great to have company in this not so fun boat, I hate it for her.

I will say, it is an honor to play a small role in a joyful memory for her to hold onto as she walks into this next part of her treatment plan.

Capturing these for her healed something in me. I sure have missed being behind this camera.

If you’re reading this, I challenge you to pray for this beautiful woman and her family every day for the month of October (go even longer if you want!) but for this month… Pray for her each and everyday.

Hi everyone! Happy October 1st and beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎗️💗

After a difficult six-month hiatus, Miranda Lee Photography has finally been able to start opening up its books, slowly but surely. This season of stillness has produced a new sense of gratitude and joyfulness that I genuinely could not describe with words. Hey you guys! Long time no see.

Important business news:

Health update:
I am in remission with no evidence of disease… I believe and I claim in full confidence that I am cancer free and completely healed. I had my double mastectomy on 8/21. They had to open my left side back up on 9/15 but prayerfully it’ll heal this time around. Next up is finishing out the 5 rounds of targeted immunotherapy (these are every 21 days). As soon as that is over I will have my port removed and I’ll be finished with active treatment. My next surgery is totally up in the air BUT I will NOT have to have radiation - praise be to God!

People are constantly asking what they can do for my sister during this difficult time. The most important thing is your PRAYER. We appreciate every. Single. One. And feel them constantly. Besides that, Randy and Sawyer have been hit hard financially. In the past few weeks she has had to cut back on her photography and due to the unknown, she cannot book anymore clients at this time. She has also had to reimburse many clients because she simply cannot photograph their weddings during chemotherapy and postoperatively. If you feel so led, please give. And please continue to pray!

My clients, my friends... I appreciate your love and your prayers more than you know. I needed to update you all. I have been diagnosed with breast cancer. I have my first appointment to get a game plan of treatment next week. My current clients with open invoices and my beautiful brides… I will be reaching out to you individually as I learn more about my treatment plan and how we’re going to fight this. Unfortunately, my life just completely flipped upside down and my schedule feels like it’s been blown out of the water. I will have to leave my availability wide open for appointments. Once these first appointments are out of the way, I’ll be able to get a game plan together. I hope you all know by now just how MUCH you mean to me. Taking care of you is an incredible priority to me. I won’t leave you hanging. I love you all so much.

All that being said… God is good, God is gracious and I KNOW He has me! I am His. I am in no better hands. He’s writing a new chapter in my life… A year ago, I asked my Heavenly Father to use me for His kingdom. I firmly believe that He is doing that.

The road ahead is uncharted waters for me but not for God. He’s already ahead of me. I’ve got this because HE HAS ME. We are going to fight, I’ve got babies to raise and a husband to love. I sure appreciate your continued prayers and words of encouragement.
