Was an absolute joy to photograph this new whip from ! I’ve been fortunate having photographed many of Sam’s builds over the years but this one truly showcases his extraordinary skills and attention to detail. I’ve seen a lot of Sprinter builds but I’ve never seen one put together this well. Electronics, comfort, plumbing.. all state of the art. Friggin rugged and modern. The dude is a savant, zero doubt. Silent Auction Happening Now!

Over $7,000 raised so far for Hurricane Helene Relief from the Soddy Daisy International Climbers Fest & Chili Cook Off. Huge thank you’s to the generous support of this southeast community and to .rowland for being crazy and organizing the event in less than a week.

And we have a few more days to continue raising funds through the Silent Auction (link in bio) — a great list of swag to bid on. If you’ve got interest in heading out with me for photos, I’m auctioning off an entire day. We can either take photos (bouldering or ropes) or I’m happy to spend the day working with someone or a small group on rigging and teaching the craft of creating climbing images. Want to learn how to use strobes while bouldering? We can do that. Or maybe your images aren’t telling the story you see… I’m happy to help get that sorted too. Some days just come together a little better, and this was one of those days. and I managed a bunch of hard (for us) pitches early in the morning, hiked out, and hopped in the truck with to hike into another zone. It was special to share some time on the wall with , who has helped coach us through some grade barriers over the past couple of years. Photographing him on this 14 has me looking forward to another stout training block and some more barrier busting this winter.

Year 1: .rowland and got pinned down by a fierce 3-day storm before retreating. Year 2: the three of us hiked back and promptly got hammered by pitch-2 due to hard climbing and no gear. Year 3: the big dawgs ( and ) joined us and swashbuckled the hard-hard until we got up to pitch-7…. The midpoint and final stop after two weeks of trying hard AF, dodging hail and lightning, and generally being beaten down on the daily. 🍻 to fresh grilled trout courtesy and all round good vibes from a strong ass team.

Sylvia bolting the new-new just as the clouds were building and the wind ripping. Per usual, she lowered down and floated the FA- and then proceeded to sandbag the sh*te out of it…. also per usual, I barely held on to the crux holds and wondered how she always makes it look so casual.

Good gawd, quartzitic sandstone of the New!! Harder than breaking hickory wood across your forehead which I don’t recommend.
Haven’t been up in ages and it was high time to work some trad, and get reacquainted with slamm’n crack and tug’n nuts in schwarmy conditions. Also magical getting to hang with - legend has it that his feet are filled with fairy dust and that’s why they stick to any nuttal surface.

Mirror mirror on the wall where can you run and have a friggin… kick ass time!
Not gonna lie, I do prefer the mountains but running through Cypress trees in the lowlands ain’t too shabby.

Alligators, bald eagles, wild turkeys, copperheads, egrets, fox, and 74,000 very hungry mosquitos….
A solid trip down to Francis Marion National Forest! If you’re going to backpack in the area, I highly recommend some bug spray this time of year and a couple of kayaks. Navigating the waterways is one of the coolest ways to take it all in… maybe just don’t fall in because we shared space with a 6’ alligator to make this photo.
