It has been a beautiful break from photography; just spending time helping and watching my littlest baby grow. Today, she blessed me with a rare opportunity to photograph her! I had fun becoming reacquainted with my camera.

Who says you need all the professional equipment? These were taken with an iPhone6 (S.I.X. People!), in Krispy Kreme as the sun broke through the clouds as it set on a cloudy day on the side of the building with wall to wall, floor to ceiling windows where we were munching on our doughnuts. An old phone camera, a restaurant, and natural lighting. The last picture shows you that my beautiful subject was sitting FACING the light source directly; her face was turned slightly away!

Think you know a thing or two about Human Trafficking?

"the most frequently reported age of entry into the life was 15, one in six participants reported being trafficked before the age of 12 with the youngest victims one year old."

https://www.thorn.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Thorn_Survivor_Insights_061118.pdf released a survey report of 260 individuals who were in HT studying how technology played a role in their involvement in human trafficking.

Of those 260 individuals, "only 45% of those entering the life in 2015 reported meeting their trafficker face to face. The remaining 55% reported use of text, website, or app."

We are dedicated to ending child s*x trafficking and the s*xual exploitation of children. And we won’t stop until every child, can just be a kid.

Found this quote, by Morgan Harper Nichols, last night in the March 2018 (day 17) edition of The Binder Co.’s devotional and it stood out to me.

Too often I think of myself in ways that God does not speak of me; I’ve heard that’s like calling God a liar. Somehow, this quote reminds me that it’s okay to not like some things about myself and my story, but it is absolutely necessary to trust that God has allowed it to be part of my story. It’s not to hurt me, but to build me up so that I can help others who have similar feelings and experiences in their own stories.

I've been out of the game for a little bit now due to a new addition to our family, but I'm ready to jump back in now.

There's just one thing: I need people to put on the other end of my lens.

I'm preparing to roll out two rep programs that will offer amazing benefits to the representatives selected and I've got a GIANT project in the works, too. I'm a little bit scared as I've never done anything like it before, but I know it's going to be so awesome!

Tonight is Date Night! My husband and I are headed to an Elton John & Billy Joel tribute concert tonight and so I am wearing makeup for the first time since September 2017 (😲).

What do ya’ know, I just couldn’t stay away from the camera 📷. I wanted to show the difference lighting makes when taking a picture. On the left I am hand holding a LED (daylight tone, but I think it has a bit of a blue look/feel to it) light on SUPER low and about a foot away from my face and took the picture with my front facing phone (iPhone 6 or 6s, idk which). camera. The one on the right was the car interior light (tungsten, which gives it that warmer feeling; think red), and the same front facing camera phone.

The lighting helps to make the shot look more professional, polished, and finished. Even with a less than desirable quality camera.

BTW - both images are UNEDITED. Nothing. But, Adobe does offer Photoshop (and maybe Lightroom, too) apps for your mobile devices. So I could make adjustments right here on my phone. Incredible!

I think I’ll do one more shot with the interior light on AND the LED light. Since they are different temperatures of light, it may create an...interesting effect. But it can show how multiple lights can really add depth to an image.
