It's September, which means it's officially Save Your Photos Month!
This year's theme is One Photo, One Story. Every Sunday, I'll share a photo, along with the story that makes it so much more than just a picture.
Here's why this matters to me. So many families have boxes, drives, and phones full of photos, but the stories behind them only live in one or two people's heads. When those people are gone, the stories go with them, and future generations are left looking at a beautiful photo with no idea what it means.
So this month, I am asking you to do one thing: sit down with a parent, a grandparent, or your own kids, pull out an actual photo album or a box of prints, and just start talking. Ask who is in the photo and what was happening. Write down what they tell you, even if it is only a sentence. Follow along here on Sundays for a bit of inspiration, and if you want help getting your family's photos organized and protected so those conversations have something to work from, we can work on that together.
