As soon as my clients arrived they said “Last time we had family photos done it was 20 degrees and we had so much clothing on you can’t see our faces” 😂 true story- she showed me the photos!

The boys mom is who contacted me and arranged the shoot…I could feel her excitement just in the text exchange we had for the past few months. She loves the beach and as soon as her feet touched the sand she couldn’t stop smiling…the island has a way of doing that. We had a breathtaking sunset and she finally has family photos where she can see her kid’s faces!! 🩵

When someone wants to hire me to photograph their dog on the beach…my answer will always be “omg yes”. Her parents said “let’s keep her clean for a few photos…” but she had another idea in mind 😂 she immediately plopped down in the wet sand and smiled (which of course made her parents laugh). Beautiful evening with the sweetest girl.

Let them be wild. God intended children to storm beaches with bare feet and unrelenting laughter. To chase gulls as their hair whips in the ocean wind. They have their entire lives to compose themselves, to keep their voices down, to stay clean and act responsible. My favorite part of the photoshoot is at the end when kids are finally able to break free, to run and jump, to let loose…that is when I see the smiles they were born with. ❤️

This little boy…we have a lot in common. We both love taking pictures, we both love paw patrol (Skye happens to be his and my favorite), and we both love ice cream. He is also kind, he listens and he is the best big brother! Pretty light and a beautiful family- can’t ask for more. ❤️

If you haven't visited Harbourtown in Sea Pines...you are missing out! Sunsets are filled with dolphin leaping in the sound, the boats coming into the harbour, Gregg Russell singing under the Liberty Oak and of course the beautiful lighthouse. Perfect spot for photographs. ❤️🤍❤️
