It was absolutely beautiful watching this fairytale love story unfold yesterday and getting the honor to capture it.

I don’t know how many times I teared it behind the camera. Getting to hear their story, witnessing the blending of two cultures, and feeling the weight of a love that transcends every barrier.

A reminder that love knows no distance, no boundaries, and no bounds. Can’t wait to share more!

There is something so therapeutic & grounding about laying down on the ground and feeling the suns rays touching your face. It’s a weekly practice I try to personally incorporate. Just ask a couple of my neighbors. 😂☀️🤲

I wanted to capture these ladies last week at Will’s Place as we were doing some healing art portraits lying in the sun & letting the light do what it always does… soften, warm, ground, energetically cleanse & nourish us.

As a photographer I spend a good majority of my time outdoors working with or sometimes against the sun. Always in deep appreciation for the right light it gives.

May the light always find us & hold us with the highest care. ✨

It can’t be too loud. It can’t be too tight. It can’t be too long or too short. I have to be able to bend, jump and crawl around on the ground and still look professional. Any other photographer feel me? I have found my fave dresses I land with are usually by Calvin Klein at TJ Maxx. Roomy & classy! Excited to capture a sweet couple this upcoming weekend!! 📸😂🙌

~ Every Tuesday at myself and others gather for a Community Healing Art class…a weekly hour designed for creativity, connection, healing, & self-expression. Anyone is welcome to attend. This week, we did a healing art portrait class, and it turned into such a beautiful morning together.

We spent time out in the prayer garden taking healing art portraits, creating affirmations, encouraging one another, laughing, connecting, & watching confidence and beauty emerge in real time. 🤲

This group photo was one of the moments that came out of that experience, and I can’t wait to share more.

This community is recovering out loud in such honest, creative, & healing ways, and it is such a blessing to not only hold space for it, but to also be part of it.

~ Week 20 of 52 | Inner Child

The self-portrait theme this week was Inner Child. Although, this pic is technically not a self-portrait, and a friend (thank you Summer) snagged this of me at a holistic event this past weekend…it is giving every bit of inner child vibes to me.

Fun. Playful. Spirited. Free. Colorful. Whimsy. Curious. Awe. Wonder.

Somewhere along the way, many of us learned to become too “serious” versions of ourselves. Of course there is a time for both. But stop and think when was the last time you…played & had fun?

Laughing without needing a reason. Coloring. Crafting. Making flower crowns. Mud pies. Dancing at any time and anywhere simply because you felt the beat. Making messy art spaces. Making noise, playing instruments badly & beautifully, and letting JOY take up space.

This pic reminds me that the child within us never disappears. She’s there. Little CB. 🫶 I honor the version of me that still feels magic in music, color, artistic expression, connection, & play.

~ I haven’t done an introduction in a while, so if you’re new here…hey 🤍 I’m Corey Beth (cb).

I picked up a DSLR camera for the first time when I was pregnant with my firstborn 14 yrs ago. I started taking photography more seriously in 2023 & somewhere along the way, this little creative outlet turned into something really empowering, fun and meaningful! Since then, I’ve photographed families, graduates, couples, children, events, empowerment sessions, weddings, and so many beautiful milestone moments.

I love capturing natural movement, emotion, connection, and those little candid moments people don’t even realize are happening.

A few fun facts about me:

I love yoga, healing arts, music, nature, & creativity•
I will absolutely hype you up behind the camera• I love nostalgia vibes & 90s music from all genres. I’m an almost 41 year old Swiftie mama. I’ve been told repeatedly my vibe is giving Stevie Nicks. Newly self-published author as of March. Currently obsessed with everything from story telling, crimping my hair, lifting my kettle bell, figuring out my next tattoo & cinematography. I’m a huge fan of candid photos over traditional poses• I love making people feel comfortable and seen in front of the camera• I’m usually barefoot whenever possible• I believe photography can be healing & empowering.

Self-portraits have taught me so much as a photographer. They help you get comfortable in front of the camera, experiment creatively & practice feeling confident in your skin. Because the truth is, stepping in front of the lens can feel vulnerable. 🥹

Getting on the other side of the camera helps me remember what my clients may be feeling…. the nervousness, the awkwardness, the wondering what to do with your hands. 😂 And because of that, I’m able to guide people with more compassion, patience, & understanding.

Every self-portrait has helped shape not only my art, but the way I hold space for the people I photograph. 🤲

She’s not just graduating college. She’s preparing to become a safe place, an encourager, a leader, and a light for her students. ✨🙌
