Kindergarten, he's coming for you.

One minute they're starting Pre-K, and the next they're standing outside their school tossing a graduation cap and looking way too grown up.

As a military spouse, I went through three deployments with the USS Mitscher, so welcoming her home will always feel a little personal.

Yesterday was one of those days that reminded me why. I got to welcome old friends home, witness a surprise proposal, watch families reunite, and even catch a sailor grinning ear to ear over the brand new car he bought during deployment.

There were happy tears, bear hugs, nervous pacing, and the kind of joy that only comes after months apart.

327 days later, she's finally home.

Then suddenly, there they are.

The searching. The waving. The frantic pointing. The "IS THAT THEM?!" from everyone around you.

The amount of times I hear “wait… that’s actually me?” during empowerment sessions will never get old. 🖤

I think a lot of women assume they need to feel completely confident before booking a session like this, but that’s rarely the case. Most of my clients come in a little nervous, a little unsure, and leave seeing themselves a little differently than they did before.

And honestly? Seeing women see themselves differently through my camera is one of the coolest things I get to witness during these sessions. The confidence shift is REAL.
