It literally makes my year when mamas and families I have the opportunity to photograph fall in LOVE with their photography sessions and especially their final artwork that I create for their home.
This beautiful family has a unique story, and their mama, who is now a friend, wanted to capture her children as they are now…braces, growing bones, the small fraction of what’s left and reminiscent of the small babies she remembers.

Now I know why my Father used to say: “you’ll ALWAYS be my baby”.

I can’t believe that my baby girl will be four in a few months. She’s still very much like a baby, but she’s getting too heavy to pick up out of the bed in the morning…and that gut punches me. What things do you miss about your children being teeny tiny? Or do you? I have to say, I’m happy that my daughter is getting older and more self-sufficient. The infant years are not for the faint of heart. I’m glad those days are passed.

Happy Monday, Mamas. Cheers to motherhood, memories, and what we’ve built with our bare hands that we call family.
