Congratulations to Alexa Paino who will represent the United States in the 2026 World Freestyle and Rhythmic Twirl Championship, August 5-9, in Paris, France. At that competition, the best baton twirlers from around the world will compete for gold, silver, and bronze medals in the twirling equivalent of the Olympic Games. The World Championship is sanctioned by the International Baton Twirling Federation (IBTF).

The team’s youngest member, Alexa earned a spot as an alternate on Team U.S.A. by taking fourth place in Junior Women’s Rhythmic Twirl at the U.S. Trials.

Happy Heavenly Birthday to my dear friend, Lily.

Today would have been Lily’s 25th birthday. I had the privilege of taking this portrait of her, capturing just a glimpse of the beautiful, radiant spirit she carried every day.

Through my work as a childhood cancer advocate, I have met many incredible people, but Lily was truly one of a kind. She battled Ewing Sarcoma for eight years, yet she never lost her infectious smile. She became a powerful childhood cancer advocate who was a voce for thousands of children with no voice.

Lily was a true friend who taught me so much about life, friendship, loyalty, and passion.

Lily’s light continues to shine bright in my heart and in the hearts of everyone who had the honor of knowing her.

We had such a blast hosting athletes from Xtreme Acro and Cheer for a recent 4-in-1 photoshoot at our Chantilly, VA studio. Today’s photo features the acro trio of Danica, Keira, and Olivia, but the duo of Isabella and Romy were a fantastic part of the day as well. The session covered four completely different styles: indoor studio acro portraits, elegant fabric shots, dramatic fog machine sequences, and vibrant colored holi powder bursts outside. Thank you to all five of these talented athletes for bringing their energy to the studio!
