Went up to Blue Lakes this morning. The road is still open to the upper parking lot. Latest I've seen it open since we moved to Summit County, Colorado 4 1/2 years ago.

No goats today but I did stop for photos at Monte Cristo Creek below the Lower Blue Lake.

Moose were visiting as the sun was setting. This years kids were grazing right across the road from our house. Mom was up next to a house and in a difficult spot to photograph.

Notice how the one young Moose kneels down on its front knees to get at the shrubbery? Had a Moose doing that right in our backyard last May. That Moose was eating our grass as the grass was just beginning to grow and turn green.

Photos are not gallery quality due to the low light near sunset.

This is where I first saw the Fox when I went out on my 2nd level deck. If the Aspens still had leaves, I would not have seen her. She was in the shadows. Once she went into the sunlight, there was an opening in the Aspen branches that I was able to shoot through.

A Red Fox was in the backyard yesterday at Summit Cove near Lake Dillon. Once our dog started barking, the Fox ran away. I did find it in the neighbors yard. He or she had come out of the shade and went after something in a bush. He or she missed then when it came out of the bush, he/she was looking right at me. The light couldn't have been better.
