Fall minis were a success! 🍂

Thank you to everyone who came out to Prairie Oak Lodge! From couples' to families to Halloween costumes to glamour shots - the day was full of amazing folks. I know that being in front of a camera can feel vulnerable, yet every time I work with people, we find a way to create a safe space where genuine joy happens, - and we just have fun with it! 🥳

I'm working on editing photos, so for now, enjoy my face and some glimpses of the beauty at Wanatee Park!

Being with the African American Museum of Iowa for the History Makers event at The Hotel Kirkwood/Kirkwood Center was truly unforgettable! The speakers were phenomenal, the vibes were immaculate, and the camaraderie was top tier.

I've had a photoshoot every day for four days straight, and I'm genuinely so thankful. I've gotten to meet members in this community that I'm so honored to have gotten face time with! Thank you to all of you for the opportunity to meet you, take your photos, and be a part of your joy!

Hello, October! I'm bringing in the new month with a full schedule! Thank you all for trusting me with your memories 📸 ✨

Last weekend, I was at a wedding in northern Iowa and then turned around to do a couples' shoot in Omaha! Yes, OMAHA! Next up, I have a spooky shoot to start off the season, followed by an incredible event with AAMI, a senior's shoot, and my fall minis! There's still some room in my availability for fall minis the early evening of October 17th! I've been struggling with how to approach this post. There's a lot I want to say here. Thank you for staying.

You deserve flowers,
everyone who chose to stay.
If there were powers
that would keep dark thoughts at bay,
goodness knows we'd do
all we could to bottle them, -
not to sell but to
give them freely to you, friends.
And, to be honest,
even to our "enemies."
No matter the test
Brought on by hard days like these,
Please stay. One more day.
It will get better, not worse.

Surprise! I have fall minis available! I have an opening in my schedule, so let's take full advantage of the fall colors that are coming! 🍁🍂

I'm offering back-to-back fall mini sessions on Saturday, October 17th, 2026 at Prairie Oak Lodge in Marion, Iowa. This means you get half an hour of photography services for only $75 - or you can book an hour for $150. There's even space on site for changing outfits! 👗👔👚

How does this work? All you do is choose a time between 3-6pm, reach out to me with your time preference, I'll confirm it's available, and I'll get you all set up with a basic contract - then I'll meet you there! High resolution photographs will be delivered within a few weeks through a digital gallery. 📸✨

I took down my back to school post, which featured recent photos I've taken of youth in our community. Other posts may be altered or archived as well on my public pages in the coming days.

As a parent myself, I know the fear that surrounds the need to protect our youth from the ever-evolving world of AI, especially with recent rulings on how youth images can be used by generative AI. I have a responsibility to protect the youth I photograph. Moving forward, photos of youth will be kept off of my public pages.

I definitely will still be available to photograph folks of all ages, and examples of my work can be provided on a case-by-case basis. Folks who hire me will have full, private access to their galleries also, of course.

Not having youth photos means potentially losing clients because folks look for photos that are close to what they envision, and they will not see photos of youth in my work. I understand the risk of that. I still choose this over potentially putting a child's safety at risk. Youth safety is paramount.
