Dallas and David live in Las Vegas and came out to Zion National Park for their engagement session! These two met while on a group hike, and being outdoors has been a huge priority in their relationship. They love to go hiking and paddleboard any chance they get! We started their engagement session near the trail by the Visitor’s Center and then headed up to Zion Canyon Overlook for the second half of their session.

It’s always special to take engagement photos of friends! 💕Steve is one of the first people Brandon met shortly after we moved to Utah. We first hung out with Julie and Steve at a rodeo during the local county fair, and I knew then that we’d continue to be friends. These two met while surfing in their home state of New Jersey, and have been doing long-distance while Steve’s in flight school. When Julie came to visit Steve this summer, we took their engagement photos in one of my favorite mountain spots up Cedar Canyon. This was an easy engagement session because of the way they kept each other laughing and smiling! 😊Continually grateful for the people that Utah has brought into our lives! ✨

Bailey and Cameron took their engagement photos at Zion at the end of a multi-day summer trip around southern Utah and Arizona. They rented a camper van and visited multiple parks, such as the Grand Canyon, Moab/Arches, and Bryce Canyon! It was fun to hear about the other places and hikes they had been on while walking around one of my favorite parts of Zion! ⛺️🌵🏜️

Summer has been a much-needed break so far and has given me space to remember the things I love doing, like taking engagement photos of cute couples! 💕 I’ll be booking a handful of photo sessions around Cedar and in Zion National Park the next couple of months! ✨

Favorites from Kylee and Trent’s July engagement session in Zion. 💕 Kylee is from my hometown in New Mexico and I took her senior pictures a few years ago, so I was excited when she asked me to take their engagement photos! 😊They stayed with family in Vegas and drove to Zion for their session. Kylee and Trent are probably one of the most adventurous couples I know, so I had to take them to the spot with the best views! ✨

Jake and Madison traveled to Colorado Springs in June to celebrate their wedding with friends and family! ✨The first evening we did their wedding portraits and went to one of my favorite mountain view spots outside of Colorado Springs (be sure to see the one with their pup). The next day we went to Garden of the Gods and took group photos with their family and friends. After photos, everyone headed up I-25 to Bourbon Brothers for dinner and to enjoy the rest of the night! 💃

Jake and my husband became friends through the Army and met at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs. When Jake was tossing around the idea of planning a trip to COS for their wedding this summer, Brandon and I were fully on board! It was so nice to see familiar faces and to meet everyone else. For a few days, it felt like we were back living our normal life in Colorado Springs again and I was doing a typical photo session at Garden of the Gods. 😅

Anyways, this is a simple reminder that your wedding can look however you want it to.💕

A summertime engagement session in the mountains. ☀️It’s been almost a full year of living in Cedar City and I’m still discovering all the great photo locations in the area. Within a short distance, there’s a rugged desert, red rocks, and actual mountains and forests. If you’re up for a drive into the mountains this spot is well worth it! ✨

A tiny glimpse at my first engagement session at Zion Canyon Overlook. 😍 I met up with Nikki and Jorge on a sunny evening in May and we drove up to the overlook spot. We spent the evening exploring the area and findin our way among the rocks and sand. I’m so thankful these two were up to do engagement photos in Zion! I have a lot more to share from their session. 😊

Wedding Party Photos: 👯‍♀️Photos with your best friends, your wedding party, usually happen two different ways. If you and your partner do a first look then likely all wedding party photos will happen before the ceremony. If you’re not doing a first look then I like to do all bride with bridesmaids photos and then groom with groomsmen photos before the ceremony. Then after the ceremony, we’ll do photos of the full wedding party before going into portraits of you two!

With wedding party photos I keep things pretty classic with everyone smiling, laughing together, and then walking together. I also like to do individual photos with the bride and each bridesmaid and the same with the groom. From there if we have extra time, I might do a few other fun group photos I’ve been wanting to try! 📸

These are photos from Emalee and Tristan’s wedding where they first saw each other during their ceremony. So we did bride and bridesmaid photos then groom with groomsmen photos before the ceremony. After the ceremony and family photos, we went out to the field for wedding party photos just as the sun was coming down. This was all possible with a well thought out wedding timeline from their planner who always makes great timelines! Whether you have a planner or not, I always like to help with the wedding day timeline and send feedback! 😊
