Old Yellow Truck

I think I take pictures of stuff no one cares about. Maybe a higher state of my mind appreciates these things. Like this one time how I thought, "wouldn't it be funny if there was an exclusive interdimensional nightclub in my right unicorn slipper?" I'm just going to assume that state of mind inspires my work.

Eye Popping Eats! 👁👁

The "eye scream" was my first, then the others followed suit. The two desserts are pieces I intend to enter in a dessert themed exhibit. The burger was made to round out the set. Two was good, but I felt like there needed to be one more.

To Be Her.
I have been using my local Arts Council as inspiration for the pieces I make. They have a show coming up in July that I made this piece for. I limited myself to 6 random People magazines from a larger stack my mother gave me. I flipped through and cut out things I was drawn to. Then I decided on a theme."Girlhood" to "Womanhood"
Maybe it's a little about me, but isn't an artist in all of their work?

I decided to take inspiration from something I drew 11 years ago. Safe to say I have grown as an artist. I think my younger self would be very impressed by this.
Honestly, I'm impressed.
Enjoy my spooky forest guy.
I guess it's widely recognized as a wendigo.

Thank you David Lynch for the endless inspiration. Am I gonna be a big artist? Am I gonna be a big photographer? Am I gonna be a film maker? Who can say? All I know is that I'm going to start sharing more of my work. If you like what you see, please consider supporting me.

I took these photographs, for free.
I learned a lesson after I edited these and sent them off. Did you know you're supposed to lower your screen brightness to 50% when you edit? I didn't know that. I went to school for photography and I was never told that once. Regardless, I didn't re-edit these.
All my photographs are dark. It's partly a stylistic choice, partly a mistake. Going forward my photography will be 50% less dark.

I finally finished this piece. I started working on it in 2022. I let it sit for 4 years. After doing my self portrait, I figured I may as well finish this too. Finish your art.
