The last capture is the first one I’m sharing, because Grandpa wanted this one, and I just love that he had this sweet vision.

When I think about what I love most about photography, this is it. Seeing families connect and love each other.

It’s not about perfectly matching outfits (though this family always nails their coordinated fits!), everyone smiling at the camera, or even the perfect background. It’s about capturing love in all its many forms.

It’s children and parents and grandparents. Family pets and siblings and spouses. Moms and dads. All the little connections that make a family a family.

And these guys? They have that love part down to an art!

We interrupt Fall for a little newborn goodness! Mama wanted mostly family and natural posing, with some similarities to big brother's newborn session done in a different state. Done. Done. And Done! And speaking of big brother, this guy may be the most excited big brother I've ever had in the studio. He could not get enough of his baby brother and was so excited to show him off.

Nothing sweeter than welcoming a new family and baby in my cozy studio! I'm so happy this sweet family found me after their recent move to Castle Rock.

It was SO good to see this sweet, fun crew again!

There was a little timid uncertainty from these cuties before we started (even though I’ve known them since diapers!), but once they realized we were going to be playing instead of “posing,” the joy came shining through!

That’s what family photos are all about. Of course, we want that perfect mantel shot for the wall, but more so you are going to love the natural, playful, snuggling photos that simply show your family enjoying being together. Because years from now, I want you to look at these photos and remember not just what your family looked like, but what it felt like to be together.

To celebrate their golden 50th anniversary, this family embraced all the golden beauty of fall: family snuggles, crisp air, the Colorado mountains as their backdrop, glowing autumn light, and a whole lot of love.

It was such a treat to see this beautiful family again and capture this golden moment in time, surrounded by the beauty of the mountains and the generations that make it all so special. What a wonderful way to celebrate family and 50 years of love!

I love a big extended family session! There’s nothing sweeter than seeing so much love shared across generations. ❤️

This session also included some pretty special little ones, and I always honor parents’ wishes when it comes to privacy. I’m so happy I can share a few of the lovely moments with three of the four generations represented in this sweet family!
