Dean – Part I

This one is so full of sweetness that I’m breaking it up into two posts. There was just too much cuteness for one share!

Dean’s All-In Smash & Splash collection made sure we didn’t miss a single moment from his precious session. From the classic feel of his Simplicity setup, complete with boutique prop, to all the snuggles with Mom and Dad, every part of this session was so special. Then we wrapped it all up with an on-point western-themed Smash & Splash (coming in Part II 😉)!

Dean had an absolute blast and shared ALLLLL the smiles. I love that Mom and Dad wanted to be part of it all because we all know that first year flies by in the blink of an eye. So often we're behind the camera snapping photos of our little ones and forget to get in the pictures ourselves. These memories are just as much for them as they are for Dean, and I love that they'll have these images to look back on for years to come.

Buckle up! This one was extra special!! 💙

I've been capturing Peydyn since she was a tiny little girl with curls and sparkly eyes. She still has those beautiful curls and that sparkle, but now she's standing on the edge of an incredible future.

Peydyn is a Colorado Early Colleges Class of 2026 graduate, and we're celebrating more than just a high school diploma. She's also graduating from ACC with her Associate's Degree—a huge accomplishment that reflects years of hard work, determination, and focus. Two diplomas, one milestone, and a future in nursing ahead of her. This girl is going places!

And then there's her sister, Caterra. It feels like just yesterday I was photographing her high school senior cap and gown session, but somehow that was only two years ago. Now she's wearing her School of Mines graduation regalia after earning her degree in just two years! Talk about impressive.

That meant we had three caps and gowns in one session, celebrating not one but two incredible young women and all they've accomplished.

I've had the privilege of watching this family grow through my lens, and moments like these are why I love what I do. Mom and Dad have every reason to be bursting with pride. Their girls have worked incredibly hard, and it shows.

Congratulations, Peydyn and Caterra! It was such an honor to celebrate this chapter with you. I can't wait to see where your journeys take you next. 🎓✨

What a treat to capture this precious family. We shared so many smiles with their baby girl, as well as some fun mutual Texas connections. Two of "my" Renaissance Seniors graduated yesterday! Way to go Class of 2026!!

I have such a close affinity to this school - did you know I work there part time doing their communications, that my own son graduated there last year, AND that my family has been heavily involved in Renaissance life for the last 17 years?! YUP! We are IN IT! So being asked to document a senior from this school feels especially special to me. Bonus - I even got to photograph their graduation yesterday! Today I am bone tired and also beyond happy.

Congratulations Evelyn and Evan, and the entire Class of 2026! Much love!

Hey there!

I realized there are quite a few new faces around here lately, so I thought I should probably re-introduce myself… preferably from behind the camera for once.

I’m Amy — the face behind Crib Tales Photography by Amy Stephens 📸
Professional baby snuggler, chaos coordinator, snack carrier, light chaser, and the person who will absolutely make weird noises to get your toddler to smile.

For the last 17 years, I’ve been photographing the sweetest Front Range families — from tiny newborn squishes to graduating seniors (and somehow many of those early babes are now graduating themselves 😭).

I’m married, a mama to two grown-men-boy-sons (3 if you count our rescue pup Miles - and I do), fueled heavily by Diet Coke and editing marathons, and I truly believe the best photos are the ones that feel like your real life — laughter, connection, messy moments and all.

So whether you’ve been here forever or just found my page… I’m so glad you’re here. ❤️

Sweet baby milestone sessions are never a bad idea! If you skipped the earlier milestones, don’t miss out on the magic of 8–9 months — this is when baby’s personality really starts to SHINE! Sitting up, full of curiosity, all smiles, and ready to play… it’s such a fun age to capture. And if big brother (who I also photographed at this same sweet stage!) happens to tag along, you know we’ll be capturing some of that sibling sweetness, too. 💙Swipe for that love!💙
