Our Epic 48 State Adventure My journey through the grieving process of my youngest son Jeffery (1/12/07 - 9/12/20 and last at home) has felt unbearable.

It's time to try a different; hopefully, healing approach. Jeffery (in spirit) and I are going on a 138 day road trip together.

I guess one thing this trip has changed is sometimes I find a minute of peace.
It never lasts long... a 🐝 is swarming around my head and pi***ng me off. I even yelled at the little bastard. Or would you all like me to change my perspective 🤔.?

Anyone that follows should know by now we made all 50 States.
I didn't know what to expect.
I didn't prepare for a day inside, away from everyone food and drink was challenging but accomplished.
Getting a soda today... extremely challenging but accomplished.
Finding the right angle for this photo also challenging but accomplished.
I know I have a story in me but it is not coming out despite my efforts.
This adventure started in Manhattan a few years ago... I never thought I would be able to finish because of "life happens" but a Facebook friend reached out to me and offered her help. Thank you Cyndy Butcher Raymo and all the volunteer adventurers.
Maybe this is how I start writing.
Just a little at a time. Thank you also to those who followed our adventures and continue to follow

Thank you Elizabeth Vocca Ates for Jeffery’s adventure in Mississippi!

We visited Hunnington Ingalls shipyard in
Pascagoula, Mississippi, the largest shipyard on the Gulfcoast employing 11,000 people. The barge is a LHA (Landing Helicopter Assault)
and is like a floating city. All ships built here are Naval ships for our defense. They have built ships for 85 years mainly for the Navy. My sons are 3rd generation ship builders. The big yellow crane is the largest in the yard known as " Golliath" to the workers. We are located on the Gulf of Mexico and Jeffreys ashes are emptied in the gulf so he can visit other countries.

Thank you so much Adreanna Clark and family for taking Jeffery to Hawaii!!

Today we woke up early with Sugar Bear and drove out to MacArthur Park in Kekaha, Hawaii on the Island of Kaua’i. We sometimes walk here for sunset, but I thought sunrise felt more appropriate for today. Our dog LMNO P. Wanted to come with us too. It was a super calm and peaceful morning. There were only 2 fishermen out there on the beach. No one else.

On the shore we said a prayer for Jeffery and his family. I spread his ashes into the Pacific Ocean, where it is always warm. My son Atticus threw the 50 cent piece into the ocean. ❤️
