You too, can prevent forest fires...with a drone! One of the students I helped teach at Southern California Edison (SCE) was featured today on ABC7 utilizing his drone to inspect power lines in Mt. Baldy CA. I'm a contractor instructor for DARTdrones Flight School and we've been teaching SoCal Edison since 2019. Oh yea, and what's even weirder, is I used to be on the Mt. Baldy Ski Patrol many years ago! What a small world...

Southern California Edison started its drone program in 2019 and said crews have been able to reduce the risk of a wildfire by 75% to 80%.
