Creeper
Crushing
No Life Til Metal Records

Dallas/Fort Worth has had numerous successful metal bands over the years, with many reaching worldwide status and major label stardom. In 2025/26, there is a new sheriff in town named Creeper, peeking its head out of the smoke-filled shadows to take the next step!

Creeper is a well-seasoned band, as they have been pounding out live shows on local DFW stages for almost two decades After several lineup changes, though, they have hit their stride and are finally getting the recognition they deserve.

Their new album, Crushing, on No Life Til Metal Records, is becoming hard to find at your favorite stores as the word gets out. Legendary k**b turners, Kerry Crafton (Rigor Mortis and more) and Sterling Winfield (Pantera and more) have produced and engineered this record into a polished-metal masterpiece as well as making it a total assault on your musical senses.

This eight-song opus leads off with the title track and is followed by the House Of A 1000 Corpses-themed "White Devil" that will have you singing "Run Run Rabbit" in the shower. "Screamin’ Demon"and "Big Bad Wolf" follow with a bang, and by the time the Jack The Ripper-influenced "Ten Bells" ends, your neck physically hurts from headbanging. The last three tunes are "The River," "The Siege," and "Creeper," and the pace never lets up. I do not suggest driving while listening to Crusher, as you will most certainly run the risk of getting a speeding ticket.

The riffs and solos on this slab, courtesy of Jimi and Paul Fritz, literally jump off the grooves, tap you on the shoulder and slap you in the face! Texx Duncan's vocals are almost intimidating, and let you know immediately that you’re about to get your ass kicked, but in a good way. The rhythm section of Ian Train on bass and Kurtis Lawrence on drums pound mercilessly on your soul.

Bottom line is this album has it all - great songs, great artwork, great packaging and, of course, one of the most favorable aspects is that they are local DFW boys! Get out to a show and support this album and band.
