Some of you who have been here for a long time might remember my Forget-Me-Not Sessions.
I started offering these a few years ago, after going through two losses of my own. They were created for mamas and families who had also experienced pregnancy or infant loss and wanted to do something to remember, honor, and bring awareness to the sweet babies they had lost. I put together little bouquets, spent time talking with each mama about their babies and their stories, and captured some really beautiful photographs in the process.
It’s been a few years since I’ve done them, and I’ve decided that this year I want to bring them back.
On September 20th at 6:45 p.m., I’ll be putting together a small group Forget-Me-Not Session at Richfield County Park in Davison. My hope is to create something really beautiful together that I can share in October for Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.
I’ll be putting together a fresh floral bouquet for each mama to use for the photos and take home afterward. I’m also asking everyone to wear white and to be willing to work with me a little on styling so that everything comes together beautifully as a group. I’ll have lots of dress inspiration and ideas to send your way, and we can figure out what works best for you together.
There will be a small session fee of $50 to help cover the flowers, supplies, and time that goes into putting everything together. You’ll receive your bouquet to take home, along with the edited images from the session.
Since a big part of these sessions is bringing awareness to pregnancy and infant loss, the photographs will be shared publicly in October. You’ll need to be comfortable with me sharing the images and signing a model release to participate.
And truly, it doesn’t matter if your loss happened this year or many years ago, how far along you were, whether your baby had a name, or how much of your story you want to share. These sessions are simply a space to remember them and to create something in honor of the little lives that mean so much to us.
If you’d like to be a part of this year’s Forget-Me-Not Sessions, please send me a message. I would really love to have you. 🤍
