My series, Potential to Become Another, is now featured in Edge of Humanity Magazine.

This is a series of work I photographed in 2010, exploring the traces we leave behind and what remains after we are gone.

The female figure represents nature, vulnerable and exposed among the remnants of human waste. Yet within these discarded objects is also the possibility of transformation: the potential to decay, change, and become something else.

Some of these images are self-portraits, they reflect my connection to the landscape and our complicated relationship with the evidence we leave behind.

I’m honored to share that I’ve been awarded the first Center for Photographic Art Monterey County Artist Grant.
This grant is especially meaningful to me, and I’m grateful to have my work recognized and supported by such an amazing organization.
Thank you to Ann Jastrab and the grant committee, Diane Chung, Frank Yamrus, and Gregory Harris, for your encouragement, thoughtful consideration, and for believing in my photography. Your support and validation mean a great deal to me, and I’m very thankful for this opportunity.
