Ghostly Trees.

I’ve passed this spot several times on my way to and from Anza Borrego and these trees always catch my eye. They are nestled in the canyon as you twist and turn the bends in the road.

On this particular day the sunlight was specifically calling them out and making them more obvious and distinct. I had to find a spot to park and then walked back along the road to find the best location to capture the image as it was impossible to get any closer through the overgrown foliage.

Although a fan, I don’t do a lot of black and white but this one was an obvious choice that made the subject even more ghostly.

Loving how well Centered Tree, Lake Henshaw, works for this customer. The location, tones and colors match the environment perfectly. Amazing!

This weekend is the 21st Liberty Station ArtWalk and I’ll be there in Booth #518. I’ll have a few new prints on display as well as some of my customers favorites.

Ingram Plaza, ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station,

at the same location, if you want early access to the art accompanied by local music, food and beverages.

Crystal Cove State Beach

A beautiful beach and location for enjoying a day at the ocean. However, as you can imagine, this place gets very busy during the summer and vacation periods.

Loving the colors and curve of the sandy beach against the white water. This image was captured earlier this year, and full disclosure, although the beach was not busy I removed a couple of people from the scene.

Yellow Tree, Blue Sky

Stopped on San Felipe Road to capture this amazing tree. It’s a stretch of road I often drive and I always enjoy its beautiful landscape. On this occasion it was a must to stop and absorb this particular scene for a few minutes as well capture its beauty, as traffic flew past.
