Kids being kids
On digital and film formats

Nothing cooler than letting the kids help lead their session. These will be theirs someday. I hope they look back at these and remember what it felt like to be a kid in the summertime.

Welcome, Karson-Sneak Peeks
The sweetest family 🪺 These first weeks of life adjusting to a newborn are full of sleepless days, but this family does it all full of love and strength. What an amazing accomplishment Haley has made and continues to make with Logan everyday as a mom now to 2. Time to celebrate both mom and baby!

In case we haven’t met yet, I’m Grace, a mom to 2, one of which is almost here, a wife, daughter, gardener, average-goodish painter… I grew up constantly taking photos of everyone and everything just to have the memories to hold onto. I’m sentimental in the most extreme sense. As many people know by now, I cry so easily thinking of the tiniest details of a memory. Photos are all we have in the end and in my opinion, so worth all the tears. Photos are how you tell your story years after you’re gone or in moments when our memory fails us.
I focus on the moments that matter most and the details that make you unique from everyone else, so no, your session isn’t going to look like everyone else’s and that’s how I work. I try to tell part of your story or at least show off your personal style through photos. Whether we are out in your garden, at the farmers market, or running around your backyard and home, I will find the things you maybe overlook but won’t want to forget once it’s been documented. Something so small, like your kids begging for smarties or hunting for dinosaurs during our session (this was with an awesome family I got to work with this year) make the best memories and some of the funniest photos. They mean everything months and years down the road.
I can’t wait to work with you!

Saturdays at the market! All on film at the Old Capital Farmer’s Market in Springfield. We had fun taking photos and stopped by and grab some baked goods from my favorite Springfield bakery, Incredibly Delicious Cakes

Sneak Peeks-At Home with the Steinmans 🌸 Hands down one of my favorite families to visit and photograph! Film coming soon-just shipped it off to the lab today!
I could not get over their insanely beautiful flowers.

Revisiting my first film shoot from over a year ago and celebrating the personality and warmth behind it. I want more of this, always.
I did a film model call this day and I remember my hands sweating…from nerves and heat, but mostly nerves. This was my first time shooting film. I was praying the shots would come out as I had hoped for the family. I could not be happier looking back at these, a little under-exposure here and there, but mostly full full full of personality and character.
