🥐🧀 King’s Hawaiian Cheesecake Danish 🧀🥐
Soft, buttery rolls filled with creamy cheesecake and topped with a sweet vanilla glaze—an easy bakery-style treat at home!
Ingredients:
1 package (12 count) King’s Hawaiian rolls
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted and divided
2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ tub (about 6 ounces) prepared no-bake cheesecake filling
1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
2 tablespoons milk
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
Preheat & Prepare the Dish:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush about 2 tablespoons of melted butter over a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Prepare the Rolls:
Arrange the rolls in the dish in a single layer. Using a small knife or spoon, gently create a shallow well in the center of each roll without cutting through the bottom.
Make Cinnamon Butter:
In a small bowl, mix the remaining melted butter with brown sugar and cinnamon until combined.
Brush & Bake:
Generously brush the cinnamon-butter mixture over the tops and into the wells of the rolls. Bake for 10 minutes until puffed and lightly caramelized.
Cool Slightly:
Remove from the oven and let cool for 5–10 minutes. The centers will settle, forming deeper wells.
Prepare the Glaze:
In a bowl, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and pourable.
Fill the Danishes:
Spoon 1 to 1½ tablespoons of cheesecake filling into each roll’s center. Spread gently without overflowing.
Drizzle Glaze:
Drizzle the vanilla glaze over the filled rolls using a spoon or piping bag.
Serve:
Serve warm or at room temperature. Store leftovers in the refrigerator and reheat briefly before serving.
