I was born in the Pacific Northwest and grew up in the small town of Canby. As a child, I spent my time exploring the rivers and forests near my home, and on clear days I would excitedly point out Mount Hood (I still do this). In my early thirties, I really started exploring and appreciating the vast beauty of the natural world around me. There is no other place I have known where you can take a s
hort drive in any direction and find a landscape that leaves you in wonder. The variety of peaks, rivers, waterfalls, lakes, canyons, and coastline is incredible and awe-inspiring. Initially, I had a point and shoot camera, but the photos didn’t seem to reflect what I was seeing. I wanted to capture that special feeling of standing in the shadow of a massive volcano, or the refreshing spray from a rushing waterfall. In 2012, I purchased my first “real” camera and I was hooked. It's been a long road filled with successes and failures. I have enjoyed the process, and the memories I'm making along the way are priceless. Over the years, I have created this collection of photographs. Each image you see represents a special moment to me, and I hope that you will be inspired by them as well.
