This is something that has been on my heart for a while, and I’ve struggled to find the right words to say it.
When my children were born, I remember feeling so much pressure to make sure I was documenting every little moment. I wanted beautiful pictures of them while they were tiny, but at the same time, we were adjusting to a huge life change — going from a dual-income household of two to a single-income household of four, and then very quickly, five.
A big part of the reason I eventually bought my own camera was because I wanted to be able to give my children beautiful, quality photographs of their childhood without feeling like I had to choose between documenting those moments and taking care of my family financially.
Photography has become so much more than just a hobby for me. I truly believe the Lord gave me a gift that I’m meant to use to serve others, and I believe everyone deserves to have beautiful photographs of their family.
So I want to put this out there.
If you’ve ever wanted newborn photos, family photos, or photographs of your little ones but the cost has made you feel like it simply wasn’t possible — please reach out to me.
And especially if you’re welcoming a new baby and the financial pressure of trying to make newborn photos happen is weighing on you, I would genuinely love to talk to you.
You do not have to explain your circumstances or feel embarrassed. I know what it feels like to want those photographs so badly while also knowing there are a hundred other things your family needs.
I can’t promise that I can say yes to every situation, but I can promise that I will always hear you out and do my best when I’m able.
Because these moments really do go by in the blink of an eye, and I don’t believe a family should have to miss out on having them documented simply because money is tight. 🤎
